I've been hunting for a cross-platform (Linux & Windows) desktop markdown editor to complement my use of @nextcloud Notes on Android.
After trying a few I've found Marktext to be the best fit.

marktext.app/

Others I tried but which didn't sit right for various reasons:

- Joplin
- QOwnNotes
- Ghostwriter
- Typora

A couple I didn't try before landing on Marktext:

- Simplenote
- Zettlr

What do others think, have I missed an obvious one?

Wow, thanks for all the replies! Amaze and Material Files both look like great options.

Dear Fedizens and FOSS-lings: I need a recommendation for a file browser on Android, that's available through F-droid (either natively or own repo), which is a suitable replacement for FX File Explorer (My go to for years).
I've tried Ghost Commander, but unless there's a way to re-skin it, I don't think I can put up with the way it looks.
@IzzyOnDroid, help me out?

Amazing to see @Navy_Innovation@twitter.com showing off low-bandwidth @matrixdotorg@twitter.com decentralised comms to 1SL (Head of the @RoyalNavy@twitter.com) using Titanium: our CivTAK Matrix plugin. At this rate Matrix is on track to become the common language across the entire public sector!⚓️📻🇬🇧 twitter.com/Navy_Innovation/st

If I'm in the top 5%, a worrying number of people don't know nearly enough...

Dear #foss developers, you encounter an open source project and feel enticed to check out their community. Discord is mentioned as the only place where the discussions take place.

Your reaction?

A - Great, I already have an account anyway.
B - Ok, I'd be willing to join if the project is interesting enough.
C - Not ok, I will not be part of those discussions.
D - Other (see comment)

Boosts appreciated (research for blog post).

It's finally here, teasing is over:

I'm excited to launch #keyoxide today!

#FOSS solution for easy encryption, signature verification and decentralized identity proofs!

I've been in favor of #DeleteKeybase but I never had something to offer as an alternative. Now I do :)

@ConnyDuck Thanks a lot! No pressure of course – whenever it's ready. Glad to read you're open to it!

So everyone who's able to: Conny said Pull Requests for @unifiedpush support are welcome at #Tusky ! Anyone out there who can provide such? I'm no Android dev, so all I can do is making a #callout for help from this great community here. Would be really awesome to have free, libre push messages in our free, libre apps!
