On the return drive from a client visit this afternoon I decided to stop at Bennett's Bluff and grab some photos, as I meant to every other time I've driven past it.

Six months of living here and occasionally I still have to stop driving and just stare. If i didn't I'd likely veer off the road while gawking.

I have been wondering FOR MONTHS why oVirt doesn't support shared direct attach SAS storage such as the HPE MSA2040. MS and VMWare both do it...
Now, after going down the GFS2/OCFS2 rabbit hole, I learn it's been there all along. Because what oVirt calls "Fibre Channel", apparently doesn't mean Fibre Channel. It means "any shared block device that's not iSCSI".

@bart @linmob Looking with interest at Tow-Boot, and wondering if secure boot plays anywhere into the projects goals? Using custom signing keys of course.
Not sure if this is the purview of the firmware or the individual SBCc, but the tow-boot FAQ and Issues page don't seem to mention it.

Received a new Logitech mouse and keyboard from work recently, MX Keys. One of the first things I wanted to do was pair both to the same receiver.

Expecting the usual trial of passing a USB device to a windows VM to run some proprietary software, on a whim did a quick package search for Logitech. I found , not even an AUR package, it's in the community repo.

TIL, @Krita is sold, for money, in the Steam store. It seems like it's just a way to donate/support the project, as they explain clearly in the description that it can be obtained for free. But it definitely puzzled me for a minute when I saw it.

We are two months into the New Zealand summer and only today did I take my first proper swim in Lake Wakatipu. The water is still painfully cold for a Queensland ex-pat like me. Despite all my huffing and shuddering though, the kiwi kids along the beach were splashing around like it was nothing. 🏞️🥶🏊‍♂️🇳🇿
